Knock Out

Play with 2-5 people

Requires the Scoreline, 1 Shooter, 25 marbles

Setup: Temporarily, tie two ends of your Scoreline together to form a large ring on the ground. Gather all marbles in the center of the ring. To begin play, drop the Shooter from any low height onto the gathered marbles to break them up. The first player begins their round.

Objective: Collect the most small marbles.

How do you play?

Each player must use the Shooter to knock the marbles outside the Scoreline. Any marbles that touch or cross the Scoreline are collected by the Player. If the Player collects marbles during their turn and the Shooter remains inside the Scoreline without crossing or touching it, the Player continues the turn until they miss. When all small marbles have been collected, the game is over. The Player with the most small marbles wins.

Simple Play

  • Experienced players may shoot their Shooter by keeping at least one knuckle down on the outside of the Scoreline. Some players may prefer to roll their Shooter during their turn. These players only need to keep their shooting hand reasonably close to the scoreline and the Shooter must move forward away from the Player’s body to maintain fair play. Players can move around the scoreline for better positions when shooting.

Moderate Play

  • Shoot where the Shooter lies. Knuckle down. If the Player can’t, then drop from height at least 4 fingers above target marbles. Move around scoreline for position.

Advanced Play

  • Each player chooses their own 5-marble color set. Shoot where the Shooter lies. Players try and knock their opponents’ marbles out before their own are knocked out. Non-player marble colors remain in play as obstacles. There are no points given to non-player marbles knocked outside the Scoreline. Non-player marbles knocked outside the Scoreline remain outside. If the Player makes no contact with any marble in the Ring at all when shooting, opponents may send in a previously removed marble of their own and re-center in the ring. When all of a player’s colors have been removed, that player can no longer compete in the round. The last player with their marbles in the ring wins.
