Goal Rush
A Precision Marble Shooting Game for Tight Spaces and Big Skill
Goal Rush is a focused, head‑to‑head marble game built around precision, control, and smart shooting. It doesn’t require running, chasing marbles, or a wide play area, which makes it perfect for tight spaces, crowded rooms, slick floors, or situations where other marble games might not be a good fit.
Because players are seated and shooting toward one another, Goal Rush works well for all ages and skill levels. It’s calm, competitive, and surprisingly strategic. Most of all, it’s an excellent way to level up shooting skills, practice accuracy, and refine technique under pressure.
How to Play
Play with 2 players
Requires 2 shooters per player
Setup: Opponents sit about 5 – 10 feet apart facing one another. Players form two goals during their opponent’s turn by using their index and middle fingers to form the letter “M”. Optionally for an added challenge, goals may be separated to widen the space between them.
Objective: Score points by shooting marbles cleanly through your opponent’s finger goals. Reach 21 points.
Game Versions
Goal Rush can be played with several scoring variations depending on how competitive or strategic you want the game to be.
Simple Scoring
Each successful shot through a goal is worth 1 point.
Players shoot both shooters during their turn.
Turns alternate after both shooters are used.
The first player to reach 21 points wins.
This version is great for quick games and younger players.
Moderate Scoring
Each successful shot through a goal is worth 1 point.
If a player scores two goals during the same turn, they get both shooters back and may continue shooting until they miss.
If a player scores 2 in the same goal back‑to‑back during a single turn, the second point and every point after in that same goal during that turn are 2 points.
To win, a player must:
Reach 21 points, and
Score two goals in the same turn.
This version rewards accuracy and consistency.
Advanced Scoring (‘For’ or ‘Take’)
Before each shot, the player must declare whether they are shooting “For” a point (to add to their score) or “Take” a point (to subtract from their opponent).
If a player scores two goals during the same turn, they get both shooters back and may continue shooting until they miss.
If a player scores 2 in the same goal back‑to‑back during a single turn, the declared action (For or Take) is 2 points on the second point and every point after in that same goal during that turn.
To win, a player must:
Reach 21 points, and
Score two goals in the same turn.
This version rewards planning, risk‑taking, and confident shooting.
Goal Rush is a quiet, competitive marble game that tests focus, skill, and strategy. Small space. Big pressure. Clean shots win.
